Case Study:
We Own Stage at Belladrum Festival.
Belladrum’s Tartan Heart Festival is an annual 2 day event held at Belladrum Estate near Inverness, it was founded in 2004 and has rapidly grown in popularity. Year after year, it constantly sells out it’s 13,000 allocated tickets to a wide range of attendees across all age groups. The festival is well known for it’s relaxed attitude, family friendly atmosphere and it’s aim to promote Scottish artists and musicians, in contrast to the kind of international lineups found at larger scale festivals in the area such as Wickerman & Rockness.
For this hire we were contracted by the fashion & clothing label, We Own to supply full stage production including lighting and PA for one of the outdoor stages at Belladrum, the capacity of this stage was 2000+ people. The stage was built around an old farm house ruin on site, allowing us to set-up a projector display on the remaining farm house walls and use environmental lighting techniques to illuminate the surrounding trees. For this event we utilised a mono-stack in the corner of the dance floor and supplied all the DJ equipment, monitor systems and lighting including a tiger touch lighting desk, moving heads and washes.
The stage was a joy to run and the different styles of electronic music all sounded full and clear through our system. The festival organisers complimented us on a job well done and said that they had never seen the stage look so busy and visually stunning before. We provided the hire for the stage for two years in a row until We Own parted ways with Belladrum.
