Case Study:

Illuminaughty @ Bowlers (Manchester).

Intro.

Illuminaughty’s Halloween indoor festival was held at Bowler’s Exhibition Centre in Trafford, Manchester on October 31st 2015.

The 6 stage event had a capacity of 5000 revellers and every stage had it’s own specific theme and decor. Most of the venue was adorned in visual effects including live graffiti, lighting, lasers and fire performers. The event also had fun fair attractions & a food market in the courtyard plus an large line-up of well known international guests.

What we did.

For this event we deployed our full sound system (all 16 hog’s) into the drum & bass arena plus a large selection of our lighting including moving heads, washes and static par cans. The sound system was set up in two stereo stacks at either side of the stage and we used our reflex tops and eight psycho subs as in fill stacks to give the maximum coverage to the 2000 capacity stage. Our lighting was used in conjunction with an external production company to create a large visual display for the arena.

Results.

The event was a success and our arena was busy from very early, the sound system had an incredible level of depth and punch without loosing any clarity on the top. Visually the stage was very impressive, with all the lights being controlled by a manned lighting desk so that they were in harmony with the music and the fire performers.
