Glasgow’s Badnews outfit have provided one of the most musically wholesome nights we’ve encountered, let alone had the pleasure of providing sound for, hosting a series of shows at The Arches which have satisfied their varied tastes in new UK bass and yet remained conscious of original styles that spawned the whole scene. This bridging of gaps between old and new was to be found not just in well considered lineups, but during impressively flexible sets that saw the likes of Dark Sky rocking LTJ Bukem’s Atlantis as a penultimate track before finishing up on SBTRKT – Wildfire. Well played sirs.
